This original Oil painting is based on a photograph taken by friends of the Artist, who on one of their travels captured this moment set in the serene landscapes of the Pamir range. Inspired by the tranquil bond between human and nature in the Kyrgyz highlands, this oil painting reflects a timeless narrative of solitude and harmony. 

Seen here on a quiet afternoon, the subject is a horseman, taking a peaceful nap atop his grazing horse, nestled in the heart of vast, untouched lands. With one leg propped up, his arm draped over his eyes, he’s immersed in the sun’s tepid warmth, embodying a tranquil moment of rest and being one with nature. Set against these grazing pastures, are the beautiful Pamir ranges, with warm-white glistening snow in the distance.

The Artist painted this piece with vintage heirloom oil brushes more than 40 years old, and were brought from erstwhile USSR by her father as a gift for her mother. The painting process for this art is available as a tutorial on the Artist's YouTube channel.
